All the way down where you’re lost in the pines, in the small blink and you’ll miss it town of Olla, Louisiana, you would find Running From Shadows. Not now, though, Darren White has decided to move to Los Angeles and cringe as he types this. 

According to Michael Arnovitz of Metal Heads Forever Magazine, the sound of Running From Shadows can be described as, "featuring a rich guitar sound accented with just enough delicious mud and angry crunch to satisfy the stoners and sludge freaks, and the perfect amount of “blast” to make the head-bangers happy. [Running From Shadows also has] an ass-kicking mix of traditional and growl vocals, and a strong rhythm section right in the pocket." 

Although Running From Shadows is a fairly new band, Darren White, lead singer, has stated that he has a whole catalog of music on the Sounds Heavy Podcast and he has all intentions of releasing an album as soon as possible. As of now, multiple singles and two EP's have been released, one of the EP's being a Bandcamp exclusive. The Self-Titled EP was recorded in Darren's room in Olla and sent off to producer and guitarist of the band, From The Gallows, to be mixed and mastered.
